I know that a lot of you aren’t avid followers of fashion trends, however, we all end up inadvertently following them, because we buy what the shops have in stock!
They follow the trends and so, in turn, do we!
So how do you know if something is on trend?
Well just have a look at any of the large retailers, they usually mostly all stock the same colours and styles at any given time, and so you’ll know what’s been on the catwalks that season without even looking online!!

Do we follow trends at Stella’s Emporium?
Well yes and no! We have no control over what comes into stock at the wholesalers, but I can tell you it does usually mirror the latest catwalk trends.
However, what we can do is only buy the colours and styles that WE like!
We won’t buy something because it’s a trend, but we might end up ‘following’ the trends because we like the products!
What are your go to Autumn colours?
If you can answer this straight away then I’m guessing that you’re not at all bothered about trends!
You have your spring/summer wardrobe and your autumn/winter one. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this, but what you can do is add a couple of key pieces in the NEW seasons colours to refresh and revamp that wardrobe once in a while!
Here’s our ideas for Autumn colour combos you might not have considered before.

Minimal Monochrome
Monochrome is usually classed as just black and white, but why not reinvent this your own way this AW25, and swap to grey and cream or brown and beige?
Use brown, black and grey as your darker tones and white, cream, beige or even light grey as your lighter tones!
Go for it and mix it up a bit!!
Oh, and by the way, this year Chocolate Brown is the new Black (Yet again!!) and so another combo classed as monochrome is Black and Brown, or Black and Tan!
Rich Chocolate brown is considered to be a neutral colour and is big this AW25!
It’s said to be timeless (even slightly retro), sophisticated, and making everything look expensive and deliciously Autumnal!!
Instagram says, ‘ Chocolate brown is this Autumn’s most expensive looking colour trend’.

Why not try a few more of our Autumn colour combo suggestions:
Rich dark Brown paired with Bright shades of green, like lime.
Bold Chilli Flake Red and other peppery reds, paired with Chocolate Brown, Beige or Navy..
Deep rich Plum Purple paired with Chocolate Brown, Chilli Red, Grey, Cream, Beige or White.
Shades of Grey for that expensive luxe look, why not pair it with Chocolate Brown, Purple, Red, Black or White …. After all, when in doubt go for grey!!!
So what are your thoughts? Will you be sticking with your 'go to' Autumn wardrobe, or mixing it up a bit with some of the NEW colour combos?
